Another Way to Support Your Club!
Welcome to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fontana, a non-profit youth service agency serving more than 2500 kids and teens with exciting after-school, summer and year round programs and daily activities in a safe and supervised Clubhouse atmosphere.
Our Mission
The Clubs’ mission is to enable youth, with a special emphasis on those from disadvantaged circumstances, to develop and achieve their full potential through programs designed to develop character, build confidence and attain skills to mature into productive, civic-minded and responsible citizens.
About the Club
Our programs are based on the philosophy and youth development strategies that are adopted by our national organization Boys and Girls Clubs of America. The program philosophy reflects five (5) core service areas: Character & Leadership; Education & Career; Health & Life Skills; The Arts; Sports, Fitness & Social Recreation.
Programs and activities encompasses characteristics of our youth development strategy: Competence-A sense of being able to do something well; Influence-A sense of being heard and to influence decisions; Usefulness-A sense of doing something of value for others; Belonging-A sense of having a place where they are welcomed.
In the Learning Center, youths receive computer instructions and tutoring services. They also have the opportunity to complete homework in a quiet area and participate in reading incentive activities.
In Arts & Crafts, youth participate in activities that promote creativity and an understanding of the elements of Fine Arts. In the Social Recreation/Games Room, youth participate in individual games developing sportsmanship, constructive use of leisure time, and life long hobbies and game room skills. In the Athletics/Play Field, youth participate in organized sports activities. They have the opportunity to develop athletic skills and team cooperation.
